Hi, I’m Deepanshu.

I grew up in India and moved to Japan, where I work as a full-stack engineer. I like owning a product end to end: talking to the people who use it, designing it, writing the iOS app or the website, running the backend, and making sure it keeps working after launch.

Outside work I build my own products. Budget Buddy, an expense tracker for iPhone and iPad, was my first app on the App Store. Lately I have been building websites with my wife: deepanmoeshu.com, where we share our Indian–Japanese life, and a private travel site made from our trip notes.

I bought my first camera a few years ago and have been on a wonderful journey since, trying to capture the beauty of Japan and the world. You will find the results, crude attempts included, on Instagram.

You don’t need to be perfect to start.
